Brewers vs. Cardinals MLB Pick – August 19th

The Milwaukee Brewers will head to St. Louis Following a couple of Crazy days in Washington against the Nationals.

Saturday night proved to be a fantastic crazy, but Sunday was a crazy bad day for the Brewer pitching yesterday day. The Brewers outlasted the Nats in 14 innings to get a 15-14 win at an enjoyable game for the fans. It wasn’t a fun game whatsoever for the bullpens.
The Brewers’ bullpen required the lengthy event . Their pitching team that was tired got hammered yesterday afternoon also, letting 16 runs at a 16-8 reduction. Milwaukee added 4 9th inning runs to soften the blow to create the score a bit more respectable.
Chase Anderson got off to a terrible start Sunday to put the wheels in motion to get a tough day on the bulge. Anderson allowed 10 earned runs in just 2.1 innings and Aaron Wilkerson was labeled for five earned runs in 4.1 innings. The offense was not going to be up that, so it was an early reduction for the Brewers because one.
The Brewers are right in the middle of a tight NL Central along with wildcard race at the National League. They’ve a fantastic likelihood of winning nothing whatsoever or just one of both. This is a Very Important series for the Brewers and Cardinals.
Between the Brewers, Cubs, and Cardinals there are only two games separating everybody in the NL Central. The Reds and Pirates have been outside, but everyone else is in play in the division. With a solid series across the Cardinals and the Cubs slipping upward this week, the Brewers may be atop the NL Central by the end of the week. A little simpler said than done.
Zach Davies, who had been the best pitcher at the Brewers’ rotation, will seem to react after fighting mightily recently. The Cardinals are expected to offset Dakota Hudson. Head below for our free Brewers vs. Cardinals select.

Zach Davies has been a top option for the Brewers in their rotation this year. While nearly all the rotation was struggling, Davies was the one outlier who had been delivering on the bulge. It was quite notable and Davies was on pace to break his past career-high ERA of 3.90 set in 2017. I will dismiss the 3.71 ERA he published at six starts as a beginner since it was not a full year for him.
Davies is clearly still on pace to beat an ERA of 3.90, but he is making it difficult on himself down the stretch. Davies moves with the ERA of 3.74 and 1.39 WHIP, but his recent outings are putting a career-high in uncertainty now. He also posted a 11.77 ERA, 2.00 WHIP, also .400 OBA in his previous three starts, enabling 18 runs in 13 innings of work.
Davies also hasn’t performed well from the Cardinals in his career. The Cards are hitting on .300 with 21 runs dozens on Davies at 130 at-bats. In his final trip to St. Louis, Davies was good however, the Cardinals were better with a 4-3 victory. Together with Davies struggling recently, their bullpen is probably going to be drowsy after the last two times in Washington.
Dakota Hudson is coming off a standout performance against the Royals in Kansas City. He shuttered the KC lineup for no more runs over 6 innings of work. The Warriors looked after the rest, as the Cards appreciated a 6-0 triumph. Hudson has allowed more than 3 runs in only 2 out of 25 appearances. Using just 1 game with more than 3 runs, Hudson has been the model of consistency, since April 21st. Anticipate the Cardinals to open a big series from an inter-divisional rival with a win at Busch Stadium on Monday night.
