Jumps season kicks off at Chepstow with Persian War

The waiting is over for National Hunt fans since the for the season in Chepstow happens on Friday, using the Unibet Persian War Novices Hurdle highlighting that the very first of two weeks.
Fergal OBrien runs yet and Paint The Dream in the Grade 2, and Champagne Well regardless of the former being a much briefer price, the trainer feels there is little between them.
I would not wish to split themto be honest, explained OBrien.
Paint The Fantasy did nothing wrong this past year and ended up dropping on his last run. He is there on his own virtue, although he is only a beginner and will go following that. If we didnt think he was great he would be in a typical novice.
He has had a great summer at home along with his owner, therefore I would not wish to split them.
Champagne Well did really well last year and is very strong, but what I will say is Paint The Fantasy has a terrific summer and looks excellent, so Im anticipating seeing the set of those.
Rebecca Curtis runs Ruthless Article, who has enjoyed and has a score of 140 to boot up.
I think he has a ridiculous score really, they have a tendency to get overrated in the summertime, I do not think hes a 140 horse, she said.
Hes hard to set as hed have three penalties in a normal novice and he would struggle off 140 in a handicap.
Hell have a spin around and then have a rest before returning back out the summertime. Hes earned a crack at this.
The Philip Hobbs-trained Thyme Hill, who was third in the Cheltenham Bumper, Paul Nicholls Trevelyns Corn and Alan Kings Harambe are among the runners.
Nicholls told Sky Sports Writer:Its a competitive race on paper, however he had a breathing functioning in the summertime and we have always needed this race for a target, because hes just a novice until November 1.
He is fit and well and ought to run well
From the Dunraven Windows Novices Chase Curtis runs Lisnagar Oscar, after winning a Grade 2 well fancied for the Albert Bartlett.
Three miles at Chepstow may take a while getting, especially first time out, but he did remain it nicely over hurdles, explained Curtis.
I believe he will come on a fantastic bit for the experience, but he can function as great as any of his competitors so I am hoping for a fantastic run.
He is not the biggest, but he is a smart little jumper. I am hoping hell earn a chaser, but well find out on Friday.
OBriens De Title Evades Me is another making his chasing bow and has been ultra-consistent over struggles.
He never disappointed us last year and hasnt been out of the first four since weve had him, said OBrien.
He was second in Cheltenham (to Aux Ptits Soins) on tender earth, which we did not think he would like, and is just a real solid horse. Im anticipating watching him.
Hell enjoy the trip and its something to build on
The Professor Caroline Tisdall Supports Heroic Jumpers Veterans Handicap Chase sees some old favourites like The Young Pro line and Regal Encore up.
Curtis runs Scottish National enthusiast Joe Farrell, that was fancied for the Grand National last season but discovered it coming after trauma to 2018.
He appears in very good form. He had an accident at this stage of the year, but hes fine now, explained Curtis.
He ran a great race at Newbury, but people remaining chasers need time between their races and individuals were pushed for a while getting him ready for the National that he likely didnt have enough time between his races.
Hopefully this year will work out better for him.
Perfect Candidate, that has Cheltenhams October and November meetings within his landscapes is run by oBrien.
It is going to be a fine starting point for him personally, he is starting off here to up him to visit Cheltenham in a few weeks, said OBrien.
