Haggas hopes Young Rascal can tee up Hong Kong trip

William Haggas hopes Young Rascal can Reserve his ticket to Hong Kong with victory in the Teddington Royal British Legion Stakes at Newbury on Saturday.

Having dead-heated for the Group Three contest – better known as the St Simon Stakes – 12 weeks ago, Intellos son will run for back-to-back successes in the mile-and-a-half event on his very first start since getting a gelding operation.
Last year the Chester Vase hero hasnt been sighted since beating one rival house in the Group 2 Jockey Club Stakes.
Haggas stated:Hes a solid Group Three horse with much more to offer and today we have gelded himwe are trying to win some cash with him.
When he was to return on win and form the St Simon Stakes, hopefully he would get encouraged to Hong Kong.
He would go to Hong Kong a comparatively brand new horse because hes had the summertime.
I really fancy sending him to Australia next year also for the Sydney Cup.
